From  my initial telephone conversation with Agnes back in November 07 from gray and rainy London,  I had that excited snap, crackle and pop feeling in my belly that Villa Mango was going to be somewhere special.

 I am so happy to say for once in m life,  my idealistic expectations were not in the slightest bit  disappointed. This is a veritable paradise, your warmth and charm add a certain "je ne sais quoi" which will remain glowing in my memory bank. Thank you so very much for making our arrival so delightful and for welcoming us as long lost friends. We will be back hopefully for our honeymoon if I can get him to put a ring on my finger and make me honorable!!

We were sorry to leave Mono Congo in Playa Negra, , but this place is so fantastic we quickly forgot about it. We couldn't believe we found a place so beautiful, and our hosts were the best ever.  Both of you are so friendly and so knowledgeable about the area! The turtles were so fantastic, I had never seen them before. The zip lines were also so exciting, and the views were spectacular . Thanks for suggesting Wing Nuts! It's hard to believe that we were only here for 4 nights.

Really enjoyed staying in your awesome home, the view from up here was gorgeous! It was really nice sharing a dinner with you guys from the fish Rosemary caught, yummy. Although our time staying with you was brief,  we feel like we got a good idea of what it feels like to live here.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge of Costa Rica, we really hope to visit soon, even invest and build a little cabina somewhere over looking the ocean.

Jo, I really enjoyed being surrounded by your awesome log work, I got tons of good ideas for things I'd like to build.

Dear Agnes & Jo,

This is John the lost child.  I was lost, and then I walked in the door heavily intoxicated. Wonderful. And despite the fact that it was only 7 @ night, and I'm 25 years old my mother was of course in hysterics. It was beyond kind of you both to take such good care of my family while they imagined countless scenarios of my potential demise. But, no matter, I survived the treacherous day of drinking and returned in one piece. We haven't spoken about it yet, but I have a pretty good feeling that my family and I are thinking the same thing. We have found the home away from home that we have searched for so long. We are such a tight knit family.  And it's clear that the same thing that binds us together, is abundant at Villa Mango: Love.

This will not be our last time staying here. I look forward to our next visit. Next time we will bring you a gift from our home... maybe a croissant or.... a croissant? What could we bring you from our home that could hold a candle to the wonder and beauty you have here? I suppose the most valuable thing that we could bring is our love, so maybe we'll just bring that.  I'm not very articulate in the morning so I believe I'll stop here.  Mucho gusto y hasta luego.

Villa Mango is truly a special place, both because the house is beautiful and because the two of you are such wonderful hosts. You go out of your way to make sure that your guests have a great time here in Nosara. We loved having Agnes with us on our little tour - wading through flooded water and crossing suspension bridges. Seeing all of the turtles and watching them lay eggs was amazing. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, the breakfast is delicious and the room comfortable. We couldn't have asked for more! Vielen Dank fuer die wunderschoenes Tage by Euch und Eurer Tierfamilie.  Was fuer ein Erlebnis mit einem Lizard im Pool zu gaden, mit kleinen Waschbaeren den Abend aud der Terrasse zu verbingen, und kleine Affen auf unsere Terasse zu beobachten, das kann man wahrscheinlich nur bei der Villa Mango  erleben.

Wir kannten uns dank Eurer Gastfreundschaft von unserem "elektrischen" Zwischenfall wunderbar erholen und vertrauen nar wieder "costaricanischen Duschen!"
