We (my son and I) stumbled upon Villa Mango while trying to find our way back to the main road in order to drive back to Samara where we are staying. I rang the bell hoping to get directions to eventually find my way back to Samara. Agnes came out and very gracefully volunteered to give me all the help I needed. It was raining, getting dark, and I was feeling discouraged after having unsuccessfully tried to get to the main road at least 15 times earlier. I asked if there were any rooms available in case I got lost again and when Agnes said there were, I decided to spend the night, despite Agnes's willingness to provide me with a map and detailed directions to the main road. Well, I'm glad I did. It was a beautiful experience and what was even more rewarding was getting to spend a bit of time with Agnes and her husband Jo. It made me wish I had made plans to stay in Villa Mango instead of Samara. We enjoyed an early evening swim in the refreshing pool and Agnes made reservations for dinner for us at La Lagarta Lodge. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a gorgeous view. Next day, before setting off we had a lovely breakfast at the communal table on the main level and exchanged stories  and jokes with our hosts and two other guests!

Thank you so much and we will definitely stay here next time we are in Costa Rica.

Thanks so much Agnes and Jo for having us at your awesome place, Villa Mango. After being robbed in our sleep at a rental house, we made the wise decision to complete our stay here. The advice and assistance we received was invaluable and will surely make us loyal patrons when we return in the future. I still can't get over the beautiful view. I really wish I could take it home with me. And last but not least, I saw a scorpion eating a scorpion spider. That pretty much made the trip pay for itself.

We unexpectedly spent the last 5 days of our Costa Rican honeymoon here and truly wished we had the full 2 week trip here. After an exciting trip through Costa Rica we arrived in Nosara and Villa Mango for the relaxation part of our journey, and our expectations were more than met, they were exceeded. In spite of nearly drowning our car, it was the most enjoyable time. Actually we only planned to stay 1 night... at the end we stayed 4 nights at your lovely place! Food and Drink: La Luna for snack and cocktails with beautiful beach view (a bit pricely). Giardino Tropicale for good pizza and strong tasty sangria (a bit pricely). Gilded Iguana for good, fairly cheap food + good margaritas.

Beach: Playa Pelada for cute , pretty protected beach for chilling. Playa Buena Vista (35 mins. south) for beautiful deserted beach.

Sunset: Lagarta Lodge for perfect sunset view + cocktail, dinner is good too.
